Job Description

SCI, the Leader in Real Estate Executive Search, is seeking an Asset Manager to join our client, a privately-owned real estate company specializing in the development and construction of market-rate apartments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all new lease-ups and operating assets and manage third-party property managers.
• Oversee preparation of operating budgets for all properties.
• Review monthly property financial statements.
• Prepare quarterly cash flow projections for operating properties.
• Assist in developing unit pricing and operating expense budgets for all new developments.
• Assist in asset positioning, project design, and marketing strategy for each property.
• Prepare weekly presentations on leasing and property operations (internal).
• Oversee all leasing activities.
• Manage asset sales processes.
• Communicate with investor asset managers.
• Manage property tax appeals process for each asset (coordinating with property tax consultants).
• Provide market and product type knowledge for targeted markets.

Our client is rapidly growing and has a current development pipeline exceeding $1 billion, with active projects in key urban markets across the country. They are looking for a results-driven professional with:

• Bachelor’s degree and/or graduate degree in an applicable business-related field.
• 3+ years of experience in property or asset management.
• In-depth knowledge of multi-family (ideally luxury apartments).
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of Yardi, Yieldstar and RealPage software and reports.
