Margaritaville Lake Resort, Lake Conroe | Houston is a uniquely situated waterfront property offering 303 all-suite accommodations, extensive water and recreational activities including a three-acre waterpark and 80 boat slip marina, 72,000 square-feet of combined conference and meeting facilities, five unique Margaritaville restaurant and bar concepts, a large and luxurious on-site spa, tennis and pickleball courts, and an 18-hole waterfront golf course.

We are looking for a highly motivated, detail oriented and customer focused leader to join our Housekeeping team as Assistant Director of Housekeeping. The successful candidate for this role will have a proven track record of developing a team to provide exceptional service, is open to learning and leading by example, responds in a professional and courteous manner to guests and team, as well as being there to support the team both personally and professionally.

Qualifications:

YOUR ROLE:

• You will assist with oversight of the Housekeeping operations to lead to achieve high standards in cleanliness in all areas of the hotel.
• You will be involved in the financial performance of the hotel with responsibilities to include managing labor costs to forecast/budget, manage spending accounts and review monthly Profit & Loss reports. 
• You will develop and mentor a team.
• You will ensure proper training materials are in place and used by each department.
• You will monitor inventory of room products to include but not limited to, linen, cleaning supplies and guest amenities
• Partner with the Front Desk team to ensure the VIP program exceeds expectations as well as monitor available inventory.
• You will lead by example to ensure all guest interactions are handled in a professional manner.
• Provide exceptional customer service by being engaging and taking sincere interest
• You will inspect all areas of the hotel for cleanliness and assign deep cleaning projects as necessary
• Help to resolve problems and “WOW” guests through recovery when things aren’t quite right
• Works closely with the Maintenance and Front Desk teams to communicate and coordinate the day
• Interact with hotel/resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
• Ability to move throughout the hotel (standing, walking, kneeling, bending) for extended periods of time. 
• Manual dexterity of hand and fine motor skills in order to use all housekeeping equipment, i.e., computers, vacuums, mops, chemicals, linens, carts, powered cleaning equipment, etc.
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull a moderate weight frequently up to 50lbs.
• Basic ability to comprehend English language sufficient to understand information such as labels and instructions and basic guest requests.
• Must be willing and have the ability to work a varied schedule that may include early morning , evening, nights, weekend shifts and holidays.

ENVIRONMENT: Inside and Outdoor outlets standing on hard floors. Work entails varying conditions of noise levels, temperature, and air humidity levels. Outdoors, some exposure to extreme and inclement weather.
