As an Associate Attorney, you will be responsible for assisting with legal research, drafting legal documents, negotiating contracts, and representing clients in litigation matters. Responsibilities: - Conduct legal research and analysis on various topics using Westlaw - Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and briefs - Assist with negotiations and settlements - Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings and trials - Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners to develop case strategies - Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files - Provide legal advice and guidance to clients - Attend client meetings and depositions as required Skills: - Strong research and analytical skills - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Proficient in legal administrative tasks, such as organizing documents and managing deadlines - Ability to draft clear and concise legal documents - Knowledge of legal drafting techniques - Experience with litigation procedures and courtroom etiquette - Familiarity with Westlaw research platforms - Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Qualifications: - Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school - Admission to the State Bar of New Mexico - At least 2 years of experience as an attorney required, but exceptional entry-level candidates will be considered.
