Overview The Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform connects online High School Reading tutors with students nationwide. As a tutor, you can set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make a real impact on students’ learning journeys—from home. Responsibilities Provide high-quality 1-on-1 online tutoring in High School Reading. Personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles. Tutor remotely using the Live Learning Platform. Invoice for tutoring sessions; Varsity Tutors handles payments and logistics. Qualifications Strong communication skills and an engaging teaching style. Expertise in High School Reading with the ability to explain concepts clearly. Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles. Preference for candidates with tutoring or teaching experience and/or graduate-level education. Compensation and Benefits Base contract rates start at $18/hour and can increase for specialized subjects, with potential to reach up to $40/hour for ongoing work with the same student. Get paid up to twice per week. Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like. Remote work with a purpose-built platform and AI-powered support to assist sessions. We handle the logistics—you invoice for sessions and we process payments.
