TEKsystems is HIRING!!

We are seeking skilled Level 2 Technicians with expertise in structured cabling, security systems, and audiovisual (AV) technology for the Savannah market. We require technicians who are proficient in access controls, CCTV, and S2 systems for our security tech positions. Additionally, we seek AV technicians with a solid understanding of installation, troubleshooting, and system setup. The roles are primarily first shift from 7 am to 4 pm, though flexibility for off-hour assignments may be needed based on workload.

Pay Scale - based on experience and knowledge - $22 - $30/hr

Level 2 Technicians - Job Description

• Install, terminate, and test low voltage and fiber optic cables.
• Route cables through conduits, ceilings, and between floors as per job specifications.
• Read and comprehend technical schematics, operation manuals, and maintenance instructions.
• Identify color codes for various fiber and cable types.
• Provide or relocate cable and modular connections.
• Assist in the installation of communications hardware.
• Complete projects within budget and on time while maintaining safety standards.
• Maintain high standards of quality and professionalism.
• Submit all required paperwork promptly.
• Adhere to all project-specific and company safety requirements.
• Conduct field training and second-level problem evaluation.
• Provide feedback to customers and management regarding system status.
• Escalate unresolved requests and work with third-level technicians or vendors for resolution.
• Recognize recurring issues and recommend improvements.

AV Technicians - Job Description

• Install,terminateandtestlowvoltagecablesandfiberopticcablesasneeded.

• Read and comprehend technical schematics, operation manuals, maintenance instructions and procedures.
• Verify all drawings, codes, site pictures, and job descriptions are complete and accessible.
• Assemble and test equipment racks per the rack build schedule.
• Verify all cables, connectors, hardware and tools needed for project completion are available.
• Properly label all cables.
• Perform any necessary red-line changes as needed.
• Inventory and deliver all equipment to the jobsite.
• Support Programmers in DSP changes and loading control code as necessary.
• Update assigned project progress in daily and weekly status reports.
• Complete projects within budget, on time, and in a safe manner.

Work Environment

Our work environments include schools, colleges, commercial buildings, and recently finished constructions. Technicians are expected to maintain professionalism and adhere to safety standards in diverse settings.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Savannah, GA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $29.00/hr.
