Job Title: Onboarding Specialist

Compensation: $18–$19 / hour

About Our Client:

Addison Group is working with our client to identify a motivated and detail-oriented Onboarding Specialist. This role plays a vital part in shaping the new hire experience by providing both administrative support and a welcoming introduction to company culture.

Job Description:

The Onboarding Specialist will coordinate all aspects of the onboarding process from offer acceptance through an employee’s first weeks on the job. This includes managing data entry, ensuring compliance, scheduling orientations, and being a first point of contact for new team members. The ideal candidate will combine strong organizational skills with a people-first approach to create a seamless and engaging onboarding experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Employee Setup & Records

• Enter new hire details into HR systems (HRIS, ADP, or similar).
• Process payroll and benefits enrollment in a timely and accurate manner.
• Collect and maintain compliance documentation (I-9, tax forms, direct deposit info, etc.).

Coordination & Communication

• Schedule orientations, trainings, and team introductions.
• Prepare welcome kits, checklists, and onboarding materials.
• Provide clear communication of company policies and resources.

New Hire Experience

• Act as the first point of contact for new hire questions.
• Work with IT and facilities to ensure equipment and access are ready.
• Support employees in building connections and integrating into the culture.

Compliance & Tracking

• Monitor completion of onboarding tasks and required trainings.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate employee records.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company guidelines.

Qualifications:

• 1–3 years of HR, onboarding, or administrative support experience.
• Familiarity with HRIS, ADP, or comparable systems preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to deadlines and details.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.

• Full-time role, Monday–Friday.
