Job Title: Laborer

Department: Parks and Recreation

Reports To: Parks director/Parks Superintendent

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt



SUMMARY
Performs work related to accomplishing various park projects and recreational activities within the City by performing the following duties:



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Receives written work orders or verbal instructions from supervisor(s)
• Cutting/Mowing grass.
• Field Maintenance.
• Operates various types of landscaping equipment.
• Routinely inspects, cleans, and maintains vehicles and equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Identifies and reports problem areas or safety issues to supervisory staff.

REGULAR ATTENDANCE IS AN ESSENTIAL FUNCTION OF THIS JOB.

WORK CONDITIONS:

Work is primarily performed in an outside environment exposed to all types of weather.

Heavy lifting will be required.

Some night and weekend work will be required.
