Our client, a leading organization in the finance sector, is seeking a Payroll Accountant Analyst to join their team.The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Payroll Accountant Analyst

Location: New York, New York

Pay Range: $40.00/hour - $45.00/hour

What's the Job?

• Verify accuracy of information provided on the monthly payroll files to ensure that employees are paid correctly and within the payroll deadlines.
• Complete detailed monthly payroll variance analysis and reconciliation to inform management of variances that require further review.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
• Identify gaps and seek opportunities for continuous payroll process improvement and suggest appropriate corrective action to Senior Management which can simplify, automate, improve accuracy and/or enhance controls.
• Identify payroll trends and share recommendations for improvement with the team.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in payroll accounting or a similar role.
• Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
