Job Title: Payroll Specialist
Location: Fremont, CA (100% Onsite)
Compensation: $75,000 - $80,000 annually + bonus
Type: Temp-to-Hire

Our client, a growing organization in Fremont, is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join their team on a temp-to-hire basis. The ideal candidate will be highly detail-oriented, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and have deep knowledge of payroll best practices.

• Process end-to-end payroll for up to 300 employees across multiple states.

• Ensure accurate and timely payroll administration in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

• Administer 401(k) and other payroll-related benefits, deductions, and garnishments.

• Maintain employee records and payroll data with strict confidentiality.

• Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to resolve payroll discrepancies and provide reporting support.

• Stay current with changes in payroll laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.

• 5+ years of payroll experience with proven ability to handle multi-state payroll .

• Hands-on experience with PAYCOM software ( required ).

• Strong understanding of payroll regulations, wage & hour laws, and compliance requirements.

• Experience processing payroll for 300+ employees preferred.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general payroll reporting.

• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.

• Competitive base salary of $75,000 - $80,000 , plus bonus potential.
