Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Radiologic Technologist for day shifts with cardiac cath lab experience and current ARRT(R) and BLS/ACLS certifications.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in a cardiac catheterization and special procedures lab setting
• Patient population includes both cardiac and interventional radiology cases
• Day shift schedule: 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, 4 days per week
• On-call requirement every third weekend and two weekdays per week
• Floating required to all procedural areas as needed
• EPIC charting system is used and prior experience is required
• Requires ability to function as scrub and monitor tech during procedures
• Administer contrast material and medications within scope of practice and monitor for adverse reactions
• Anticipate set-up and assist during invasive and interventional procedures, including inventory and supply management
• Explain procedures, provide patient comfort, support, and maintain confidentiality and patient safety
• Assist physicians during procedures and perform as scrub and monitor technician on a rotating basis
• Assess patients for allergies to contrast and medication, document accurately and completely
• Clean and maintain work area and equipment, and perform basic troubleshooting
• Holiday and variable shift coverage may be required
• First-time travelers are not accepted
• Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
• RTO not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
• Contingent workers cannot be on assignment for more than 1 year without a 6-month break before returning

\n \n Requirements\n

• Current ARRT(R) certification and IEMA Radiography License (IL) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
• Associate's Degree in a related field or Certificate in Radiologic Technology required
• Minimum of 1 year of recent cardiac cath lab or interventional radiology experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required for consideration
• Level 1 trauma experience required for consideration
• License required if applicable
• Physical ability to work around and maintain a sterile field and operate imaging and monitoring equipment
